At Whistling Wings, our monthly Mock Hunt Test/Training Day events offer a unique opportunity for retrievers and handlers of all experience levels to practice in realistic hunt test scenarios. Each month, we feature a different training drill designed to sharpen skills and build confidence for upcoming HRC or AKC hunt tests. Experienced members are on hand to provide guidance and support, ensuring a positive and educational experience for everyone.
Our club thrives on teamwork, with members volunteering their time to set up equipment and assist with scenarios. Whether you're new to hunt tests or looking to refine your skills, these training days are the perfect way to prepare both you and your retriever for success. Typical Training Day Schedule
Volunteer Setup: 8:00 AM
Briefing: 9:00 AM
Volunteer Setup: 8:00 AM

- Started, Seasoned, Finished scenarios
- Interact and socialize with fellow club members.
- Hot dogs, chips and drink provided by Whistling Wings
- Specific training drill yet to be determined.
- Hunt test scenarios continue.

Other Details
Location: Cascade Retrievers Training Grounds, 17126 State Route 203, Monroe. Directions Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Members: $10 per dog (must be a paid member before event day). Non-Members are Welcome: $25 per dog. (New memberships will not be taken on event day.) Lunch: Hot dogs, chips, drinks on us! |
